Taxonomy of the Rhodochortonaceae (Rhodophyta) in Korea

ABSTRACT
A monographic account on Korean auduinelloid algae is made with the classification scheme given by Lee and Lee(in press). Several morphotaxonomic characteristics applied to auduinelloid algae are briefly discussed mainly with Korean taxa. During this study, twenty one species of the Rhodochortonaceae are identified and described in Korea; eight of them in Auduinella, eleven in Acrochaetium, and two in Rhodochorton, Acrochaetium inkyui is introduced as a new member of the Rhodochortonaceae. Fourteen taxa are newly added to Korean flora.
