| ABSTRACT |
|
General cytological properties of Laminaria saccharina were described with light microscopical and transmission and scanning electron microscopy, Pertaining possibilities of the translocation of materials were discussed based on the structural information. In addition, due to the difficulties in the preparation of these specimens for transmission electron microscopy, some comments on the fixative used in the present study were included.
