Sample Size Determination for Estimating Growth Rate of Early Sporophytes of Laminaria hyperborea (Phaeophyta)

ABSTRACT
A technique to determine sample size for growth measurements of early sporophytes of L. hyperborea was consideered. Selection of two largest sporophytes on a standard area for the length measurement to produce relative growth rate (RGR) is expected to reduce errors from sampling arbitrarily made, decreasing the amount of time spent for measuring the growth estimate.
